Trailer for Robin Williams’ Boulevard released: stars and their posthumous releases

Robin Williams - Boulevard The trailer for one of the late, great Robin Williams’ final films, Boulevard, has been released. In the film Williams portrays Nolan Mack, a middle-aged man who begins to question his career, sexuality and life in general after meeting a young, gay prostitute, played by Roberto Aguire. The short clip leaves us with a bitter sweet feeling as it appears to revive Williams’ stock as talented dramatic actor, while of course reminding us of his absence. Critics have already begun to compare his performance to earlier triumphs, like his role in 1997’s Good Will Hunting. Boulevard is scheduled to be released this July. Feel those feelings for yourself here: Williams committed suicide at the age of 63 last August, following a long battle with depression. The actor has had several films come out already since his passing, including A Merry Friggin’ Christmas, released last November, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, which came out a month later, and the movie Absolutely Anything, in which he voices the character of dog, is yet to be released. He is not the only star to tragically pass before a film premier. We took a look back at some famous faces we’ve lost and the films released after their deaths.
