Netflix knows how to keep us subscribing! Arrested Development executive producer Brian Grazer announced there will be a new 17-episode season of the cult-classic.
There’s always money in the banana stand, and there’s always money in a new season of Arrested Development. Die-hard fans can’t wait to see what Lucille, George Sr, and the gang get up to in season five.
With an all-star cast including Michael Cera, Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, and Will Arnnett, it could regain its title as the most watched show on Netflix.
While many fans of the cult-classic are excited, others are worried it will be a disappointment. Season four had mixed reviews, but I don’t think it was as bad as people make it out to be. It included great recurring jokes, and the new material was often laugh-out-loud funny.
The show is certainly an acquired taste, but it’s a nice break from the cookie-cutter, laugh track sit-coms that are so prevalent these days.
It also means I can finally go as a never-nude this Halloween and people might actually get it.
Leia Smoudianis is a west coaster freezing her bum off in Toronto. The former (yet still very bitter) server is now selling vacuums on The Shopping Channel and hoping to get adopted by the Kardashians.
