The voice of god has spoken: legalize marijuana! Okay not the actual voice of god, but Morgan Freeman, who played a pretty convincing holy spirit in Bruce Almighty. Freeman spoke with The Daily Beast last week about the contentious topic and didn’t hold back. “Legalize it across the board,” the Oscar-winner said. “I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana.” The 77-year-old was introduced to marijuana by his wife and says that legalization is “a long time coming.” Freeman isn’t the only famous advocate of the herb. Zach Galifianakis was on Bill Maher’s Real Time discussing the potential legalization of marijuana when he lit up and passed the joint to Republican commentator Margaret Hoover. Danny Glover attended a press conference in 2010 to support California’s Proposition 19 which would have legalized marijuana. He was joined by Melissa Etheridge.

John Legend voiced his opinion on HuffPost Live saying: “I think we need to legalize marijuana. There’s no good reason to continue prohibition, and we need to consider ending prohibition in general. I don’t know if prohibition has ever been an effective way of getting people not to use banned substances.” feat In 2009 Megan Fox opened up to British GQ about her views on marijuana. “I can’t tell you how much bulls**t I’ve been through because I will openly say that I smoke weed. People look at it like it’s this crazy, hippy, f**ked-up thing to do. And it’s not! I hope they legalize it and when they do I’ll be the first f**king person in line to buy my pack of joints.”
