Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is making headlines again for his need for speed, and he’s under police investigation for yet another reckless driving incident. TMZ is reporting cops received two separate calls in different locations at 8pm Sunday night from a Calabasas gated community. L.A. County Sheriff spokesman, Steve Whitmore, says callers reported Bieber was driving at a “startling high rate of speed”, and at least one child was playing in the area while the singer was allegedly hitting the pedal to the metal. Keyshawn Johnson, a former NFL superstar, was in the neighbourhood at the time of the alleged incident and hopped in his car in an attempt to catch the “All Around The World” singer and confront him. When KJ arrived at Bieber’s home, the 19-year-old bounced and refused to come out of his house. When cops approached Bieber at his crib following the complaints, he refused to speak with them. Several sources close to TMZ say witnesses of the incident told deputies Bieber appeared stoned at the time. Biebs is known for being a speed demon and has been involved in various vehicle altercations over the last two years. He’s been pulled over for speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, cutting off a California Highway Patrol officer, and making an unsafe left turn. Just last month, the singer was caught breaking traffic laws on six different traffic cameras while on tour in Dubai. According to reports, the pop tart was driving extremely fast and ignored police’s demands to pull over. There’s been no word as to why he was speeding, but speculations suggest Bieber was late to his concert and was zooming through to get to the venue. In March 2012, the singer was accused of battery after allegedly getting physical with a neighbour who confronted him about his dangerous driving. Rather than being an adult about, Bieber spit on the man. As for Sunday’s altercation, Whitmore says the case will be brought to the L.A. County District Attorney for review.
