Hey! Have you heard that funny ladies Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence are penning a screenplay, which they will also star in together?!
Earlier this week, JLaw told The New York Times
that she and Schumer are almost done writing their upcoming comedy, which sounds like it’s a belly buster based on how much fun they’ve been having with their collaboration.
“Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life,” JLaw said in the interview. “We start the day off on the phone laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up.”
When photos surfaced of the women vacationing together, the entire entertainment world was like, “When did that happen?” According to JLaw, it was love at first sight when she saw Schumer in Trainwreck
, and she knew right then and there that she had to make Amy her own.
“I emailed her after I saw Trainwreck
and said, ‘I don’t know where to get started. I guess I should just say it: I’m in love with you.’ We started emailing, and then emailing turned to texting. We really hit it off, to say the least.”
The idea of two amazingly talented and comical women partnering on a comedy project is beyond exciting! Surprisingly (but not surprisingly because it’s Hollywood), shining the spotlight on funny ladies is a relatively new area of entertainment, and only over the last decade has it been gaining tremendous momentum.
You’d be surprised to know the women behind some of today’s biggest films, so keep reading to find out!
