Ireland Sure Knows How To Entertain

Enya

Eithne Ní Bhraonáin was born on May 17, 1961 in Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland. She was born in a family of musicians that at a very young age, Enya already knows how to play the keyboard, and so, together with her siblings, they have decided to form a band named Clannad before she pursued her solo career. It wasn’t an easy dream, but she knows something good awaits her. She continued to strive hard until she finally reached her goal. She got famous for her album Watermark that was released in 1988, and this album managed to sell more than 8 million copies. However, in the year 1991, with the release of her album, Shepherd Moons, she enjoyed even greater success.

She also contributed the hit score “May It Be,” that has been part of the first “Lord of the Rings” movie.

“Eithne Ní Bhraonáin was born on May 17, 1961 in Gweedore, England.”

Gweedore is a part of Co. Donegal, which is in the Republic of Ireland!!! (There are 9 counties in Ulster. Only 6 of them are under British rule.)

The writing is horrific in this article, how did this get past an editor? You’d also assume from this piece that Irish women are trailing way behind the men but as usual it’s just that women are never as recognised for their talents, shame!! Brenda Fricker, Fiona Shaw and Saoirse Ronan should have been included plus many others that a little research could identify!!

Thanks for the suggestions. We’ll see about getting them added to the list!

Shame on you for misogynising the women, the poor victimised crateurs. Anyway, some more names: Maureen O’Hara, Maureen O’Sullivan, Gabriel Byrne, Peter O’Toole and Colm Meeny.

Peter O’Toole was born, raised and educated in England. He’s of Irish ancestry but not from Ireland per se.

Saoirse Ronan and Michael Fassbender are pretty big ones to miss considering some of the names you included. Gabriel Byrne and Colm Meaney are also a couple that I’d include

This might just be the worst article I’ve ever read. It’s like somebody who just had their first English lesson attempting to write an article. And it’s click bait too

Gary supports Northern Ireland. Not republic. Also Bradley Quinn is not in snow patrol but in face a well renowned photographer.
