Eithne Ní Bhraonáin was born on May 17, 1961 in Gweedore, County Donegal, Ireland. She was born in a family of musicians that at a very young age, Enya already knows how to play the keyboard, and so, together with her siblings, they have decided to form a band named Clannad before she pursued her solo career. It wasn’t an easy dream, but she knows something good awaits her. She continued to strive hard until she finally reached her goal. She got famous for her album Watermark that was released in 1988, and this album managed to sell more than 8 million copies. However, in the year 1991, with the release of her album, Shepherd Moons, she enjoyed even greater success.
She also contributed the hit score “May It Be,” that has been part of the first “Lord of the Rings” movie.
