Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea announced that she’s pulling the plug on her highly anticipated tour – the Great Escape Tour – which was previously postponed.
The tour was initially slated to launch in California in April, but it was pushed back after the 24-year-old decided to put it on hold until this coming fall.
“As u may know, the tour is cancelled,” the blonde songstress said on Twitter yesterday. “I’m so sad and sorry to let my fans down… we’ll be back out on the road when the next album is done.”
For those itching to get their groove on to Iggy’s catchy jams, you’ll be able to check out her performances at the handful of summer shows that she’s still committing to. They include Pittsburg Pride, Ottawa Bluesfest, Quebec Summer Festival and Washington State Fair.
Azalea – whose real name is Amethyst Amelia Kelly – isn’t the only one disappointed she had to cancel her tour – a handful of her hormonal fans took to Twitter to jump on singer for the decision.
“I HATE YOU” read one tweet, with another saying, “I’m pissed”.
It seems like the rapper has been getting a lot of heat lately. Just a few weeks ago, the “Black Widow” songstress scored the Best Rap Song award at the Billboard Music Awards, but a petition was launched by Nicki Minaj fans calling for it be to withdrawn. Minaj – and her army of followers – think the “Fancy” singer doesn’t deserve the award because it’s speculated she doesn’t write her own lyrics.
