America’s sweetheart Chris Brown has found himself in another pickle. This time the R&B singer is being told to cough up $15,000 a month in child support for his one-year-old daughter, Royalty.
As of now Royalty’s mother, Nia Guzman, reportedly gets $2,500 a month for the needs of her child. Guzman and Brown can’t seem to agree on what amount is appropriate so they’re headed to court to figure it out.
The ‘Bitches and Marijuana’ singer (seriously, that’s a song title) filed paternity papers in Houston, Texas. He’s hoping to establish a legally binding custody agreement.
Despite his continued use of chauvinistic language in his music, fatherhood seems to have done him some good. At the 2015 BET Awards he said this while accepting an award: “A lot has changed in my life, a lot of mistakes, a lot of lessons learned. The best thing, I’m most thankful for is my daughter. At the end of the day, love is love.”
