The English soul sensation is heralded as one of the greatest female singers of all time. For years, she topped the British chats and stayed at the top longer than any of her peers. Winehouse died from what the police said was alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011 at the age of 27.

    This should be named demons who got the best of celebrities. Most of them had help, most of them had people who cared about them. Most of these people sought help. They just could not conquer. Terrible, terrible cover.

    Change the title it was nothing to do with mental illness; they where all drug addicts that totally different.

      Mental illness and substance abuse are usually related. Drug and alcohol addiction is usually (but not always) related to a mental illness.

    Janis Joplin did not die of a cocaine overdose. The person responsible for fact-checking needs to find a new job-she overdosed on heroin.
