Celebrities and the Mistakes That Cost Them Their Careers

Jerry Lee Lewis

Jerry Lewis is perhaps best known for the song ‘Great Balls of Fire’ and ‘Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On. However, while on the road in the 1950s, a reporter learned that Lewis’ third wife, who was 13 at that time, was actually his first cousin once removed which resulted to a public uproar and the cancellation of his British tour. The scandal reached the US and resulted to his songs and performances being blacklisted from radio and TV shows. He tried to revive his career in the 60s with energetic stage rock and roll performances before transitioning to country music. Lewis has since released chart-topping country hits, won several Grammys and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.

The really sad thing is that the brutal rape and sodomy of a 13-year-old girl did not cost Roman Polanski his career. He fled to France where there is no extradition and from there continued to be a highly-regarded and sought-after director that many Hollywood big names want to work with, making many big films and even being awarded an Oscar (and countless other awards)! He campaigned to be allowed to return to the United States so he could accept the Academy Award in person, but at least the authorities refused him that–to this day he is a fugitive and there is a warrant out for his arrest. He never paid his debt to society, and because he was famous and talented, he lived the rest of his life and fulfilled his dreams and had a great career.

One can only hope that if they fail to receive their due justice in this life, that they’ll be judged accordingly in the next.

Ashlee Simpson didn’t “finish the entire performance. I was watching that night. She did that stupid dance and then walked off stage. Then she blamed the whole thing on her band, who were actually PLAYING, not faking like her.

Roman Polanski’s victim has forgiven him & asked for charges to be dropped. If she forgives him, why not us?

You might want to do a little more research on Gary Glitter. He was sent to prison for child sex offences LONG before 2012. Like late 90s I think. He took his PC to a computer shop to be fixed and was found out that way.

vaccines are proven to cause autism just the its whether the risk out weighs the reward; alive, dead.

Do people really still believe that nonsense? The hype around autism and vaccines was created by a single doctor publishing inaccurate findings to promote sales of an alternative vaccine produced by his own company.
The theory has been completely debunked. Look it up.

So if it’s Bill Clinton or Roman Polanski, or Woody Allen, they get a pass. But if it is Bill Cosby, R Kelly, or Michael Jackson, they have to be hounded for time immemorial.

Amanda Bynes – “it’s not that I’m not being offered films anymore because nobody wants to see me, I’ve just chosen to retire.”

Sinead O’Connor – if you watch the following episode of S and L, Joe Pesci starts the program with that same photograph repaired with scotch tape. I thought that was pretty shiny. Don’t know if it was networks been control or Joe Pesci’s idea, but that was the right way to start it.
