Canadian Tatiana Maslany earns Emmy nomination for Orphan Black [Full list of nominations]

Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany receives recognition with an Emmy nomination for her role(s) in sci-fi series Orphan Black. While the talented starlet has previously been noted for playing multiple clones on the hit Canadian television series — earning her a Golden Globe nomination and winning a number of Canadian Screen Awards and Critics’ Choice Television Awards in the past — the actress is finally getting an Emmy nod. Clone Clube The nominations for the 2015 Primetime Emmy’s were announced on July 16 by Orange Is The New Black star Uzo Aduba and So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley. It’s no surprise, of course, that HBO’s Game Of Thrones received the most nominations. Adam Samberg is set to host the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards that will air live on September 20 from The Microsoft Theatre in downtown Los Angeles. But let’s go back to talking about how the Orphan Black star, Maslany, is now swimming in a pool of big talents in the top prize category for Lead Actress in a Drama series. She’s up against the likes of Claire Danes for Homeland, Viola Davis for How To Get Away With Murder and House of Cards‘ Robin Wright. Alison cosima helena sarah Orphan Black just finished its third season and Maslany has played more than 10 versions of herself — in addition to the five main clones she plays as the lead.
